Joyce and her mother, founders of Jesdit, with the original Moi Moi Cooking Pouch
Est. 2014 · Nigeria meets America
"Some ideas start in a kitchen. Mine started in my mother's."

In 2014, my mother was doing what she always did. Cooking for our family. Making moi moi from scratch. But here in the United States, the banana leaves she grew up using were impossible to find. And aluminum foil? It leaked. It stuck. It fell apart under heat. It was never designed for this.

So she designed something that was.

She created the first stand-up cooking pouch built specifically for moi moi. Food-safe, non-stick, leak-proof, and strong enough to handle a full boil. A simple solution born from her frustration and a deep love for our culture.

I took over in 2017 and have been growing Jesdit ever since. Expanding our product line, reaching kitchens across the US, and staying true to what my mother started.

We were the first. We are still the best. And every pouch carries that story.
